Rusty Hearts Revolution Official Rules [updated 01/2020]

Preface A: Notice

Breaking any of the stated rules can result in a Warning or a Ban. Rusty Hearts Revolution Admins or Staff (henceforth referred to as "Staff") may issue Warnings or Bans for infractions not contained in this rule-set at their discretion should the need arise. Bans may be temporary or permanent based on the severity of the infraction. Ban evasion will result in a permanent Ban and penalties for anyone assisting the evader.

Preface B: Review and Arbitration

Warnings and Bans can be reviewed or appealed by visiting our #ban-appeals Discord channel. Punishment issued in error will be reversed as quickly as possible. Staff may engage in arbitration if punishment by issuer is deemed too severe for infraction. Specific punishments (such as permanent ban) spelled out in these rules will not be arbitrated. Staff is not obligated to engage in arbitration and does so at their discretion.

Preface C: Staff Impostors

Any user misrepresenting themselves as staff via chat, GM title, false names, etc - will receive an immediate, permanent ban.

Section 1: Accounts

Players are responsible for their own accounts. Accounts are to be secured with a proper password. Staff is not responsible for 'hacked' or 'stolen' accounts. Account sharing is not advised but not forbidden. Staff will not arbitrate any disputes involving shared accounts. Any 'Bought/Sold' accounts will be considered shared accounts. Forum and Game account are shared, so any infraction accrued (including bans) will effect both.

Section 2: Speech / Chat / Advertising

Rusty Hearts Revolution believes in free speech, so first and foremost reminds players that they have the Block function both in-game and on the forum to prevent seeing the chat from users they find disruptive. That said, Staff reserves the right to warn users engaging in extended disruptive behavior which may include but not limited to racism, sexism, harassment, undermining the community or project, persistent negativity and fearmongering. Harrassing/insulting staff will warrant an immediate permanent ban. We reserve the right to remove members whose presence is disruptive, even if they are not violating specific rules. Bans may be issued for serious offenses. Users may advertise in relevant forums and chat for in-game content such as items / guilds / parties / etc. Users may not advertise any unrelated websites / products / games / etc. anywhere on our server. Users may not advertise any Real Money Trading (RMT).

Section 3: Trading

Staff will not arbitrate any trade disputes or scam reports. Players must use their own diligence when conducting trades to ensure equal value for both parties. If a player engaging in scamming is deemed to be disruptive, they may lose their trade privileges or receive a ban at staff discretion. RMT is not strictly forbidden but is not recommended. Any items created or traded by a user engaged in botting, exploiting, or cheating can be deleted regardless of current owner. Keep this in mind before purchasing from gold sellers or items 'too good to be true'.

Section 4: Hacks / Bugs / Exploits

Any player using external tools or modifying game files will receive a permanent ban. Any discovered bugs or exploits that create an advantage should be reported and staff will determine if said bug / exploit will be repaired or is permissible. Any items created through an illegal process (such as duplication glitch) will be deleted regardless of owner and the creator will be permanently banned. Should a player unintentionally create one of these items, the item should be deleted and a report made to staff. Any user caught using bugs or exploits for personal gain will be banned.

Section 5: Bots and Scripts

Use of any AI / Scripts to farm or advertise is forbidden. Any accounts associated with them will be permanently banned.

Section 6: Donations and Purchases

Rusty Hearts Revolution does not offer refunds for any reason. Players that are unsure about their purchase or donation should not do so. Anyone who attempts any kind of payment reversal or cancellation will receive a permanent ban. Anyone attempting to make purchases or donations with fraudulent or stolen funds will receive a permanent ban. Anyone attempting to social engineer or scam staff into receiving funds they did not actually purchase will receive a permanent ban.
